“We are surrounded by the outdoors without ever really caring for or taking advantage of it. Utilizing the outdoors is one of the best ways to teach respect for it. It is the key to the sustainability movement and increased mental health. Here, we want to equip you to make those experiences your own.”
Amanda has been working as a writer and educator in the realm of the outdoors for the past five years. She has gotten the opportunity to guide groups of new campers and teach navigation through beautiful mountain and forest scenes throughout the world. When she isn’t writing about it, you can probably find her outside living it.
Amanda received her undergraduate degrees in horticulture and Spanish from South Dakota State University. She is working towards a graduate degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire.
