While diving at the Off The Wall Dive Center and Resort, Elora met a small but charming octopus that she named Egbert.

It wasn’t her diving skills that brought them together, but her kindness.
Right from the start, Egbert was curious and came out to meet her instead of hiding, reaching out with one of his arms.

Over time, every dive gave Elora a chance to get to know Egbert better.
She posted videos online showing Egbert taking food from her hand, letting Elora help him move logs, and playing games that showed off his smarts.
