When we set out to start Outforia, we wanted to do so on our own terms. And that means being transparent with you, our audience, about exactly what’s going on with us. We know it’s not exactly in fashion for a company to be so forthright and honest, but hey, we’re different.
That’s why this is page is here. We want to let you know that when you find certain things you find on the site that are clickable, we might receive commissions for getting you to that company’s website. It’s not every link, not even close. But this support helps keep Outforia going as a reader-supported magazine so we can keep creating great content for you.
We collaborate with some of the most beloved outdoor-gear companies out there. However you can always rest assured that we are highly selective of our affiliate partners, because, first and foremost, Outforia is dedicated to the enjoyment of every user. We still only recommend products that we wholeheartedly believe in. It’s just that sometimes we are in contact with those companies, and they pay a small fee for us getting you to their site. It’s word of mouth with a bonus.
Outforia.com is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
By linking you right to Amazon and other companies, it makes it a lot easier for you to directly get to the products you want. So it kind of works out for both of us.
As Outforia grows, we won’t necessarily be tracking exactly which link is an affiliate link and which isn’t. So it’s ok with us if you assume that it is both a product we recommend to you and an affiliate link. What will never happen is that a company we don’t support approaches us and convinces us to put something we don’t believe in on Outforia. That will never happen.
