When Carlie Cahill went to pick up a foster dog at a PetSmart, she never thought she’d fall for a sad-looking, overweight Chihuahua named Shorty.

Sadly, three years after Shorty came into Carlie’s life, he passed away.
Carlie treasures the time they had together and is glad she could give Shorty a loving home for his last years.
