Most people have dogs or cats, but Elliot has a crow named Loki. Loki had a rough start when his first owner died, and he was left alone for a long time.
He was scared and didn’t trust people, which is why he acted out and could be quite aggressive. When the late owner’s relatives found out about the death, they suggested that Elliot adopt the bird.
How Loki Got His Second Chance

In Essex, England, Elliot decided to take a chance on Loki, even though he had some behavioral issues.
“I had to exert a lot of effort to connect with Loki, pouring in hard work, love, and attention,” Elliot recalls about the beginning of their journey together.
They say that crows are smart, and Loki is no exception. But he needed someone to help him through his tough times.
Patience Pays Off
Elliot was patient with Loki, and after a lot of time and care, they became great friends. Every time Loki sees his owner, his tail shakes with joy, a testament to the bond they now share.
They enjoy hanging out and playing games, and sometimes Loki gets into a little trouble.
Loki’s Funny Habits

Loki likes to steal things. He does it not to be mean; it’s just his way of playing a game.
“Anything that fits in his beak can become his next target,” Elliot humorously points out. He takes small items, and Elliot has to trade him treats to get them back.
Trading With Loki
Loki’s not just about stealing. He’s actually quite smart about it.
“Interestingly, every item he steals has its price,” Elliot has observed.
For example, if he takes a sponge, he might trade it for a few grapes. Elliot is always ready with treats for their trading games.

Loki is also a talker. Whenever Elliot engages in a conversation with Loki, the bird always responds with his unique sounds, like a click and a caw.
This shows they have their special way of communicating, and Loki always seems to have something to say.
More Than Just a Bird
After spending years with Elliot, Loki has shown that he’s a lot like humans in some ways.
Elliot notes that Loki is indeed an extraordinary bird with amazing quirks. He displays emotions and intelligence that make him seem more human than a bird.
He’s not just a pet; he’s a friend who likes to be in on the action.
A Special Friendship

Elliot and Loki’s story shows that friendship can take many forms.
Loki is very sociable and prefers to spend most of his time among people, cracking jokes and showcasing his wicked laugh.
With a bit of understanding and a lot of snacks, even a crow can become a dear friend. Their life together is a fun adventure that keeps on going.
