Rosie, a tiny kitten, has become an internet sensation. She proved that cats can fit in with dogs, especially with her husky family, showing us that love has no boundaries.
At just two weeks old, Rosie was in bad shape after being found and rescued by the Bui sisters.
She wouldn’t eat and was getting weaker by the minute. In a move of desperation, the sisters introduced her to their husky, Lilo, hoping for a little bit of luck.
Lilo’s Motherly Touch
The luck paid off. Lilo took on the role of a mom to Rosie, helping her to feed and even helping her go to the bathroom—an instinct you’d expect from a mother of the same species.
“By some miracle, she started suckling on Lilo, and Lilo went full ‘mom mode,'” said a pet mom on Instagram. It was this special care that helped Rosie pull through.
Adventure Buddies
Growing up with Lilo and the other huskies, Rosie started doing things that most cats would never try.
She went on exciting outdoor trips with them, explored parks while on a leash, and even joined them for a swim and a paddle in a canoe.
With every new experience, Rosie showed she was just like her husky friends.
Their shared moments quickly became a hit on the family’s Instagram page, “Lilo the Husky,” with more than 477,000 followers.
Rosie, panting and walking with the pack, has captured the hearts of many, showing that friendships can form across any divide.
Best of Friends
Rosie and Lilo’s close relationship proves that cats and dogs can be the best of friends.
Their story shows us the power of caring for each other, no matter how different we are.
While the family reminds everyone that huskies usually chase smaller animals like cats, the bond between Rosie and the huskies is something special and rare.
A Loving Home
Rosie’s luck continued with a home full of people who love and rescue animals, and with Lilo, who became like a second mom.
Their website says it perfectly: “If everyone loved the way Lilo & Rosie did, there would be no evil in this world.”
The pair’s unique connection shows that, growing up together, they’ve become more than just friends—they’re family.
