He was born with a condition called hydrocephalus, where fluid builds up in the brain, making it hard for his skull to form properly.
This could’ve made life really tough for him, but then Blake stepped in with so much love.
Finding a Home
Blake got to know about Mr. Muggles through Road Dogs, a group that helps dogs in trouble find a safe place to live.
When Mr. Muggles was given up by his original owner, volunteers at Road Dogs took care of him and got him well again.
Afterward, a kind lady named Bella looked after him until Blake was ready to take him home.
Blake traveled a long way, 17 hours by car from Los Angeles to Seattle, to pick up Mr. Muggles.
Since flying was not an option for Mr. Muggles because of his condition, the road trip was their only choice, and they enjoyed every bit.
Simple Pleasures
Mr. Muggles might not be like other dogs, but he’s full of joy and love. He enjoys sitting on laps and giving cuddles.
He’s always happy and makes everyone around him feel good.
Even though dogs with his condition can sometimes have a short life, Mr. Muggles is making the most of every day.
Safe and Sound
Blake knew Mr. Muggles needed extra care to keep safe because of the open spots on his skull.
So, using his skills from working with cars, Blake made a unique helmet for Mr. Muggles that was much better than the ones you can buy.
It’s got special padding to protect Mr. Muggles’ head.
