Like a Regular Commuter
Istanbul’s public transportation department noticed Boji was traveling alone and knew exactly where he was going.
They found out that Boji had been traveling alone via buses, trams, subways, and ferries.
Why Boji Travels Alone
Boji’s journey is touching and full of love.
He used to ride the trains with his owner, exploring and enjoying their time together.
After his owner died, Boji kept up their routine on his own, as if he were trying to find the person he missed so much.
Keeping Him Safe
The people in charge of the city’s transportation, touched by Boji’s story, have made sure he’s taken care of.
They gave him the freedom to freely access public transportation, a check-up, and a microchip to keep track of him, making sure he was healthy and safe.
A Local Star
Boji is more than just a stray dog; he has become a local star.
When he’s not napping on a tram seat, rushing to catch a train, or enjoying the breeze on the ferry, he’s always happy to pose for selfies with commuters and receive plenty of pets and treats.
His travels are long, covering about 30 kilometers as he moves through the city, visiting different stations and meeting new people who are always happy to see him.
