Northern pygmy mouse reaches Arizona only at the extreme southeastern edge of its range, a tiny grassland mouse more characteristic of Texas and northern Mexico. Its bottom-tier record here fits a species that barely crosses into the state at all.

Two isolated records, in June and November, are too few to describe any real seasonal pattern; this is an edge-of-range population that was always going to be thinly documented.
