Florida has only 19 spinner dolphin records, every one from GBIF rather than iNaturalist observations. That gap points to strandings or offshore research encounters rather than shore-based or boat sightings, and it’s far too few records to describe where the species concentrates in state waters.
July stands out with 6 records, the closest thing to a seasonal pattern in an otherwise sparse year. With such a small sample, that July cluster could easily be a handful of related reports rather than a real seasonal pull toward Florida waters.
