Oregon’s month series is narrowly concentrated: two western small-footed myotis observations occur in July and 14 in August. The overlay highlights Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, Steens Mountain, and John Day Fossil Beds, while NatureServe assigns an S4 (Apparently Secure) state rank. Sixteen encounters cannot measure abundance or define the full flight season, and missing records elsewhere do not demonstrate absence.
