Harbor seal records follow Oregon’s coast through estuaries, rocky headlands, beaches, and protected shorelines near Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and coastal state parks. Sightings span the calendar and reach their monthly high in July. Accessible haul-outs and viewpoints shape where people report seals, so the record pattern should not be treated as a count of animals along the coast.
